WCC Women's Team Labor Day Clinic

We would like to welcome you to our first, all-girls team gymnastics clinic at WCC, which will be held at our facility Labor Day weekend, September 4-6th. This camp is open to all women's team gymnasts Level 1-10, Elite, and XCEL and space will be limited to 60 total gymnasts so make sure to register today. Athletes will get the privilege of training in our state of the art facility which is also the home gym of Simone Biles, and will also receive training from Laurent and Cecile Landi, our main clinicians. This clinic is meant to be a training focused event where gymnasts will rotate between floor, vault, beam, bar, strap bar, rod floor, and trampoline stations focusing on exercises and skills that will enhance their current skills base. Just because it is focused on training doesn't mean we can't have some fun, so we will also work on a hip-hop themed dance routine that will be performed for the parents on the final day, and choreography is provided by our instructors. All participants will receive a camp exclusive leotard from GK that is autographed by Simone, and we will take a group picture on Friday morning with Simone (circumstances permitting) that everyone will receive a copy of. Finally, we also have 'Labor Day Picnic' planned on Saturday from 3-5p here at the gym complete with games, hotdogs, and GIANT waterslides so bring your swimsuit and a towel!


Registration Information

This is a women's competitive team gymnastics camp conducted by WCC, NOT a Simone Biles camp. Please make sure to enroll your athlete at the level they finished competing in THIS season.

  • Women's Gymnastics Team Camp (all levels) - Sept 4th - 6th: $500 | Guest Coaches: Laurent and Cecile Landi - current coaches for Olympian Simone Biles and former coaches of Olympian Madison Kocian of the 2016 Olympic Team
  • Visiting Coach: $180 - If you would like to attend camp with your athletes and learn from our coaches we would love to have you, and if you bring 5 or more athletes with you, the registration fee will be waived!
  • Please indicate your child's leotard size when you register.

 

COVID Safety

The public health and safety of all of our employees and guests is our priority here at WCC, especially during these uncertain times, so we have implemented a few procedural changes for our clinic in order to accommodate everyone as best as possible while still adhering to state and local operational guidelines. We will be performing temperature checks for everyone entering the facility at the door, and, since we are a USAG sanctioned facility and they have updated their guidelines, everyone entering the facility over the age of 2 is required to wear a face mask at all times. Athletes will only be permitted to remove their mask when entering the gym floor and during training, but they must wear their mask at all times while in common spaces. We have marked spaces on the floor and in the observational spaces, and have posted additional safety signage and sanitizing stations throughout the building. These spots have been measured to ensure that a 6' distance is maintained between guests and we ask that you please follow these and all safety signage posted throughout the facility. Per the current state guidelines, our water fountains are closed so please make sure to bring bottled water for your athlete and label it with their name. We also are requiring athletes to bring their own spray bottle and chalk in a sealable container as our spray bottles and chalk buckets have been removed as a COVID precaution. We will have chalk ($2) and bottled water ($1) available for purchase. Should we have to cancel our clinic due to public health concerns, we will provide you with alternative dates and can transfer your enrollment or provide a refund if you cannot attend the new date. If you need to cancel your enrollment for any reason, we will provide a credit towards a future camp/clinic of your choosing or can offer you a 50% refund.

Schedule

  • Friday, September 4th (Theme: Camp Leo): 7:30a - 3:00p - Check-in will begin at 7:30a with warm-up beginning at 8:00a so please be on time. Lunch will be provided for athletes: Chick-Fil-A Sandwich, Chips, Fruit, Cookie & Bottled Water
  • Saturday, September 5th (Send-back Saturday - 80s): 8:00a - 3:00p - Wear your camp leotard on this day for our group picture with Simone. Lunch will be provided for athletes: BBQ Sliders, Chips, Fruit, Brownie & Bottled Water
  • Sunday, September 6th (Theme: Sunday Funday - Wear your favorite tutu): 8:00 - 12:30p - Since it is our final day and some campers may have to leave early, we will only hold a half-day of training and no lunch will be provided.
    Check-in will begin at 7:30a each day in order to facilitate temperature screenings in a timely manner.


Location

The camp will be held at World Champions Centre, located at 28865 Birnham Woods Drive, Spring, TX 77386. We are located on the NW corner of Grand Parkway (99) and Birnham Woods Drive, across the street from the Montgomery County Fire Department and Stripes gas station. There is parking available in the front, back, and along the north driveway leading towards the back of the building.
